Buttons Buttons and More Buttons
Buttons Buttons and More Buttons
Today has been all about buttons for me. I have managed to learn how to create and imbed buttons on to my Classroom Site. I have been in technology awe of the beautiful buttons that I have seen on lots of different sites and can now make my own.
I have created a new class site which I have linked to an individual reading group.
Having lots of fun exploring the Multi modal planning. Like everything it feels like it is taking a very long time however the plan and site that I have created will take the children 2-3 weeks to work through. I have struggled to work the Google Slide Format that we are using as a syndicate and I have found this so much better for me. I feel like I am giving my students more choice in their learning and not being as prescriptive which feels liberating and not so stressful for me. It will be interesting to get the students feedback around this.
Critiquing other teachers Classroom Sites was interesting. I am clear in my head what I like and don't like visually and it was interesting to hear what others think about mine. I learnt while mine was being shown on the screen that most of my docs are only available to people in our NBC community. I wonder if this includes families / whanau? This is something that I will need to follow up on.
I am definitely becoming more aware of of where I create docs and my sharing settings. I am trying to remember to create in the folder that I not my own drive and is in a shared drive.
Today was really all about the students and what I can apply to the classroom. Not so much today that I can apply to my personal life. Would have been great to be given an APP that writes reports for us ... That would be a HUUUUGGGEEE help :-) Next week aye girls!
Appreciate the time to play
Till next time :-)

Kia ora Megan,
ReplyDeleteIf only we could have robots do our reports. Though I did like Sasha's use of Google Keep today in saving comments she uses a number of times. Something to think about for you perhaps?
I know that it feels slow, but I look at what you are achieving and I'm amazed. You are incredibly thoughtful about what you do and it is clear you want to have good reason to put something up. As you feel more confident with the skills you will really begin to fly with the work you provide your students digitally.
Keep up the amazing and hard work!
